Principles of Operation
The STRIP-LOK™ Joiner creates a secure joint by punching a square hole through overlapping metal sheets and folding the metal back onto itself. The unit is self-contained and operates automatically once the trigger is pressed, using compressed air to complete the punching and flattening cycle. The process stops immediately when the trigger is released.
Joint Strength
Joint strength depends on the material type and thickness. As a guide, 20 punches on each side of 0.4 mm mild steel sheets can provide a tensile strength of approximately 25 kN (5620 lbf).
Long-Reach Heavy Gauge STRIP-LOK Joiner
The LRHG model is designed for wide strips and offers a reach of 300 mm from the strip edge. Full-width joining is unnecessary, as an overlap of 700 mm or more provides strong and stable connections. It can join strip widths up to 1500 mm.
Low-Pressure STRIP-LOK Joiner (LP)
The LP model is intended for plants with lower air pressure availability. It delivers the same joining performance as the standard unit while operating at only 450 kPa, compared to up to 760 kPa required by the standard model for harder or thicker materials.

- Portable strip-joining machine driven by compressed air.
- The main use for Strip-LOK™ joiners is repairing strip tear-off situations on modern steel strip processing lines such as continuous galvanizing and paint coil coating lines.
- Two models available to suit most production facilities.
- Designed for use with aluminum or steel substrates, this is the best advance in economical, efficient, and effective strip joining equipment.
- Repeatable, strong connections can be achieved with a total sheet thickness of up to 1.8mm.
- The operation does not require any consumables other than the two pieces of the strip to be joined.
- No blank is produced.
- CE Certified
