Strip-Lok Joiner

The Strip-Lok™ Joiner is a portable, pneumatic sheet metal joiner from DJH Designs built to repair strip breaks on modern steel and coil coating lines without welding, adhesives, or scrap. It creates a secure joint by punching a square hole through overlapping metal sheets and folding the metal back onto itself — a purely mechanical bond that needs no consumables beyond the strip being joined. The unit is fully self-contained: once the trigger is pressed, compressed air drives the complete punching and flattening cycle automatically, and the process stops immediately the moment the trigger is released.

Joint strength depends on the material type and thickness being joined, and it’s repeatable enough to plan around: as a guide, 20 punches on each side of 0.4 mm mild steel sheets deliver a tensile strength of approximately 25 kN (5620 lbf), on sheet combinations up to 1.8 mm total thickness. The Strip-Lok Joiner is CE certified and works on both aluminum and steel substrates, and it’s available in three configurations to match different lines: the standard unit, the Long-Reach Heavy Gauge (LRHG) model for wide strips, and a Low-Pressure (LP) version for plants with limited compressed air capacity — all designed to get a broken strip back in production with minimal downtime.
