Temperature & Humidity Test Chamber

Temperature & Humidity Test Chamber

The Temperature & Humidity Chamber reproduces the effects of sustained high humidity environments on materials and components, without the added complexity of cyclic or salt-based corrosion testing. Built entirely in plastic for full corrosion resistance, it holds a constant humidity (CH) saturated atmosphere at 95–100% and internal temperatures up to 55°C, letting labs verify how coatings, materials and finished parts hold up to prolonged moisture exposure — swelling, delamination, loss of adhesion, and humidity-driven degradation — in a controlled, repeatable setting.

Two standard sizes cover both small-batch and higher-volume testing: the 300L vertical model (D100) and the 1000L horizontal model (D1000), the latter featuring a Polypropylene cover dome with a pneumatic opening system for easier large-sample loading. Both ship fully wired and assembled, ready to run — the D100 with 4 specimen bars and 2 panel rack holders, the D1000 with 6 bars and 4 rack holders for higher throughput. The chamber meets a broad set of international humidity-testing standards, including ASTM D1735, ASTM D2247, BS 3900/F9, DIN 50017, DIN 55958, DIN 55991, ISO 11503, ISO 6270-1, ISO 4541, ISO 3231, and NFT 30-077.

Constant Humidity (CH) — maintains continuous 95–100% saturated humid atmosphere at 40 °C. Water heated at chamber base evaporates and condenses directly onto all exposed sample surfaces simultaneously.
Alternating Humidity (AHT / AT) — automatic cyclic alternation between high-humidity saturated atmosphere and ambient ventilation phases — simulating real-world condensation and drying cycles (D200 model).
Kesternich Test — SO₂ Dosing (D200) — automatic SO₂ gas dosing every 8 hours at 40 °C followed by 16 hours of ambient ventilation. Simulates industrial acid atmosphere corrosion. Gas pressure 0.2 bar, consumption 0.2–2 L/day.
100% Plastic Construction — chamber built completely in plastic material throughout — fully corrosion-resistant to salt, humidity and acid atmospheres. No metallic components in contact with test environment.
Pneumatic Cover Opening (D600 / D1000) — horizontal models feature a polypropylene dome cover with pneumatic opening system — safe, ergonomic access to the full test area without disturbing the internal atmosphere.
Fully Automatic Cycle (D200) — automatic water dosing, SO₂ injection, chamber unloading and ambient ventilation — all phases executed without operator intervention. Shipped completely wired and assembled.
Ready to Use — Pre-Assembled — all models shipped completely wired and assembled. Rod bars and panel rack holders included. Connection only requires electrical supply and (for D200) water and air supply lines.
Results Assessment — test results evaluated by visual observation of rust, blistering, delamination; chemical analysis of corrosion products; and mechanical property measurements before and after exposure.
